The nearest plane is the Piper L-4H Grasshopper (serial number 43-29233) that served in 1943-1945 with the 9th Air Force in Africa and Italy. After the war it was bought by Poland as surplus and was used first as an executive aircraft at the Experimental Aviation Works in Łódź and then at regional aero clubs. In 1976 it was handed over to the Museum by its last user, the Workers' Aero Club in Świdnik.
